OKDC

In order to start my last year of school properly, I decided to purchase a new pair of boots.  I bought a pair of "roper", which are Western boots designed to be walked in (as opposed to cowboy boots which have a sling back heel for riding).  Also, the boots are not as conspicuously styled as the instantly recognizable cowboy boot, so they work as well in DC as they do in OK.  Perhaps most importantly, they are comfortable.

I believe there are some things that when purchased, country of origin and manufacture is of paramount importance.  Champagne, feta cheese, kimonos, beer (Christopher, not me), and suits (me).  Western boots are one of those products and I believe they should be made in the USA, along with pickup trucks and motorcycles, so I had a bit of a time trying to find a pair that was still made in the US.  I fully expect to get 10 years out of these boots.
